Bats of the World – Huron Nature Center (Pt. Austin) @ 10:30am

Discover the truth about bats and in this exciting multi-media program. Learn about how bats use sound waves (echolocation) to navigate in the dark, their important role in the food web, and conservation practices as your students explore ecosystems from the Great Lakes Region and beyond.

The Bats of the World live animal program delivers a positive experience between bats and humans. It seeks to provide intermediate knowledge about bats, their habitats, and their lives while encouraging participants to lead a more peaceful existence between bats and the public.

Live bats include an insect-eating bat from North America, leaf-nosed bat from South America, and flying fox bats from Africa.

Ages: 2 -12 Grades
