OBC is happy to welcome you to our page dedicated to The Pandemic Project. When they reached out to us, we couldn’t help but be excited seeing young conservationists get involved with making the world a better place for humans and bats!

Earlier this year, six students from Flagler Palm Coast High School in Florida, wanted to work on implementing an environmentally safe way to deter vector-borne diseases and protect their communities against pandemics such as Zika. To do this, they have built bat houses in various parts of the community, with the help of the City of Palm Coast and Flagler County Parks & Recreation.

Their project has just won Grand Champion at the Florida Future Problem Solving State Competition and will be moving on to the International level.
